In my Golden Years

It all begins and ends with family. How grateful I am to know that my family will never end. Back "in the day" when we just had a few very young children, I often wondered about my calm, peaceful life. I should have not wondered about it, but should have just enjoyed it to its fullest.

Now, I am grateful if I have a calm, peaceful day! I revel in it, enjoy it, am grateful for it. I am mostly grateful for it, because it is fortifying me for more twists and turns that I know are coming around the bend.

Big goings on this week. My Devin (Ms. McD, Tweedle D, my Angel girl) turns 12 tomorrow. Big landmark. I'm so glad that I'm serving in Young Women's and will have her coming in! I also turn the big 5-0 on Christmas Eve. I don't know why, but I'm actually looking forward to it! Maybe now I will start growing up... Nah.

Welcome to my Golden Years!!

Up at 3:30 this morning. Legs ached. Couldn't get back to sleep. Got on Facebook.

After the last few weeks of Young Women lessons on Journal writing and Genealogy, I have really been thinking about Family. So, after getting on Facebook, I decided to start the James Orlo and Fawn Hancock Goulding group. With all my extended family that are my "friends", I figured that would be a good way for us to be connected.

I'm so grateful for my heritage, on both the Goulding and the Maes side. So grateful for who I am.
